I am taking part in lots of events this summer with SELCE (South East London Community Energy) on retrofit, including some DIY workshops on green walls and internal wall insulation. Really looking forward to taking part.
Selce’s Summer of DIY!
Calling all handy people who want to deepen their technical and practical understanding of making homes cleaner, greener and bills leaner! We’re running a series of events and workshops throughout the summer to develop your retrofit DIY skills, including:
June 7 – Bell House Festival of Retrofit in partnership with Blue Patch and Bell House for a family-friendly day of activities, talks, workshops, and stalls
June 21 – DIY: Greening Your Roofs, Lofts and Walls with EcoAlex and friends (£15 or fully subsidised)
June 28 – DIY: Repointing with WEVA Collective (£15 or fully subsidised)
- July 5-19 – DIY: Solar Power Sundays with Bonny Brookes (Marine Electrics) and Selce’s Solar Team (£25 per workshop or fully subsidised)
Wednesday Lunch and Learn Webinars covering net zero, what can you do about over-heating in your home, understanding if solar will work on your home, and natural insualtion 101.
For sessions that cost, there are some exceptions:
- – if you’re definitely going to repair your home within the next year, OR
– are interested in buddying up with other course attendees to make repairs, OR
– would like to attend 2 or more DIY courses in the series, OR
– you cannot afford the fee
